Eco Tips

Eco tips collection

As part of our commitment to promoting environmental sustainability, we have gathered a collection of 101 easy-to-implement “eco-tips” that can be incorporated into daily life. These tips range from using a bamboo toothbrush to carrying a reusable water bottle. To make these tips accessible and reusable, we have created simple postcards out of each of them. These postcards can be used in various contexts, such as in schools, workplaces, or homes. To further promote the importance of personal contribution to the global response to climate change, local organizations will be publishing one eco-tip every day for 101 days on their social media channels. This daily initiative aims to raise awareness among the general public on the importance of taking small, individual actions to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

How Did We Do it?

The collection of 101 eco tips was a result of a problem-solving approach called the “Problem Tree” system. The method involves identifying the main problem, which is written on the trunk of the tree, followed by the roots at the bottom, which represent the causes of the problem. The top of the tree is then filled with leaves, which represent the effects of the problem. In this case, the team used the “Problem Tree” system to address the issue of climate change, identifying its root causes and effects. The best answers generated during the exercise were then used as the main topics to create a comprehensive collection of 101 eco tips. This approach allowed for a systematic and comprehensive way of identifying solutions to the complex issue of climate change and provided actionable tips that individuals can implement in their daily lives to contribute to amore sustainable future. By using this method, the team was able to organize their ideas and provide clear, concise, and actionable tips for individuals to live more sustainably.

5 different topics to make you more sustainable on specific areas

Transportation

One of the most significant contributors to climate change is the overuse of non-sustainable modes of transportation. This topic explores eco-friendly transportation options, such as walking, cycling, and public transportation, and the benefits of reducing carbon emissions. It encourages the use of sustainable transportation methods to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment

Harvesting

Over farming and unsustainable agricultural practice shave devastating effects on the environment, including soil degradation, loss of biodiversity, and water pollution. This topic highlights the importance of sustainable farming practices and the role of regenerative agriculture in preserving the health of our planet. It emphasizes the importance of sustainable farming practices, such as crop rotation and reduced pesticide use, to ensure the preservation of soil quality and prevent damage to the ecosystem

Education

Lack of education and awareness is one of the major barriers to achieving sustainability. This topic focuses on the importance of education in shaping our attitudes and behaviors towards the environment, promoting sustainability, and building a better future for all. We believe that many difficulties that the world is facing right now have originated from old- fashioned and voluntarily lacking education, that considered economic profit

Deforestation

Deforestation not only results in the loss of vital carbons inks but also contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. This topic highlights the importance of protecting forests, promoting sustainable forestry practices, and restoring degraded forests as a way of mitigating climate change. It advocates for the preservation of forests and trees, which play a vital role in absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Overconsumption

Overconsumption is a significant driver of environmental problems, including air and water pollution, climate change, and waste management. This topic emphasizes the need for reducing consumption levels, promoting circular economy practices, and embracing sustainable lifestyles to ensure a better future for our planet.
